Sheperd Pie versi Gordon Ramsay. Mudah sebab tak payah masak dua tiga lauk. Spot the piping technique untuk letak mashed potatoes tue. Kite ada piping bag yang kicik je. Kalau ade yg saiz besar, baru lagi cantik hasilnye. Biar jadi muncung-muncung kat atas tuh.

Good as winter warmers ;)

Resipinya, kite tambah cili cikit nak bagi pedas. Tp cheese kat topping tu macam tak berapa cukup pulak. Lain kali nk tambah lebih cikit. Kite suke MrFaiz pun suke. Bertambah tambah kami makan (heheh..macam tak besa tambah ;) ).

Banyak yg kite edit sebab kekurangan bahan kat rumah. Kalau ada yg nak mencuba, kawan2 boleh rujuk resipi asal kat SINI. Kite letak yg kite edit utk rujukan lain kali :)

Sheperd Pie Recipe-adapted from Gordon Ramsay Healthy Apetite

  • 1 large onions, grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, grated
  • 1 1/2 carrots, peeled and grated
  • 500 gm minced lamb
  • 50 gm mushrooms, thinly sliced-or in can
  • 4 tbsp tomato puree
  • 2 generous tablespoon of chili paste
  • 1/2 cube of chicken stock
  • salt
  • olive oil/oil
  • For mashed potato topping:
  • 500 gm potatoes, peeled
  • 75 gm butter
  • 4 tablespoon of milk
  • Salt and fresh ground black pepper
  • 25 gm Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Olive oil
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
  1. Pre- heat the oven to 200°C.
  2. Prepare the meat:
  3. Heat up olive oil/oil in a saucepan and fry the onions, garlic carrots until golden. In a separate pan, heat up 2 tablespoon of oil and cook the minced meat until browned, stirring constantly to break up the meat and ensure it cooks evenly. When the mince is browned and all water has drain off, add the chilli paste and tomato puree. Cook for about 5 min. Add the mushroom, chicken cube and salt, stir well. Finally, add the carrot and onion mixture and constantly stirring for about 5-10 minutes or until lightly golden.
  4. Prepare the mashes potatoes:
  5. Boil the potatoes and cook for about 20 minutes until softened. Drain and cover with a lid to steam ‘dry’ and reduce any excess moisture. Add the butter and milk and mash thoroughly, grate half the parmesan into the potato and mix well. Don’t allow the potato to become too wet or they won’t crisp up nicely in the oven. Season.
  6. Prepare the sheperd pie for baking:
  7. Place the meat into an ovenproof container. Spoon/pipe the potato mixture over the meat, sprinkle with the remaining parmesan and finish with a drizzle of olive oil.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden.

    Kak tie bukan saja terliur kat makanan yang Ijan hidangkan tu, tapi juga pada daya kreativi Ijan menghiasnya dan mengambil gambar. Teringin nak cuba tapi kurang lak alat2 decor tu..

      :) Mekasih kak tie.. kite guna bahan kitar semula apa2 je yg ada kat rumah ni kak tie. tak ada ape yg special sangat. kadang2 anak patung mainan mikael pun join sekaki.hehehe… :)

    First time mkn ni masa gethering ngan geng² MYR kat KLCC tak lama dulu, rasanya kak Ju Hussin kot yang bawak..Sedap…Pahtu berazam nak wat juga tapi sampai sekarang janji tinggal janji..tak wat² punnnn….

      kami cuba ubah2 sudut amik gambar (amik dr atas sikit ke). pastu kami besarkan saiz gambar kat blog. tak de lah pandai mana pon.tembak pakai lesen terbang jer.hahaha
      Gambar2 akak pon sangat cantik semua2… dah lama kami kagum dgn kebolehan menembak akak :)
