Easy Lamb Stew

Lauk kami di hari Chinese New Year. Pertama kali buat stew mewww neh. Kite cari resipi paling mudah je. heheh… Yang dalam bekas biru tue, salmon goreng tepung. Buat tambah-tambah ;)

Ada resipi yang guna tepung untuk pekatkan kuah. Ada lak yang blend sayur. Yang ni pakai kidney beans je. Mudah dan sedap.

MrFaiz makan ala western, ngan garlic bread aje. Kite lak makan ngan nasik. Alhamdulillah, kenyang. Selamat bercuti buat semua yang bercuti.. selamat bekerja pada yang bekerja :D

Easy Lamb Stew Recipe-adapted from yummyfoodies.com

  • Ingredients A
  • 0.5 cups kidney beans-soak overnight in water (I used kidney beans in can, which is already soft so I omitted this step)
  • chicken parts from one chicken
  • 2 teaspoons paprika/ smoked paprika
  • 2 bay leaves
  • salt and pepper
  • Ingredients B
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 3 celery
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 large turnip
  • 1 large potato
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 teaspoons cumin
  • fresh dill
  • Optional additions which I added:
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoon of 20% cream
  • I cube of KNORR chicken stock
  1. Steps for ingredients A: Heat some oil in a large cooking pot. Rub the chicken parts with salt, pepper and paprika. Fry the chicken parts until golden, with the bay leaves.
  2. Steps for ingredients B: When done with the chicken, take it out and keep warm until needed. Add some oil to the same pot, add onions and fry until golden. Add copped celery and carrots. Mix everything and fry for a few more minutes. After this, add cumin, potatoes, soaked kidney beans (drained), red bell pepper and turnips. Fry for a few more minutes, than add the chicken parts and hot water or chicken stock (just until it covers all). Add the cream, oregano and chicken cube if using. Cover the pot, lower the heat and cook for two hours, until the stew thickens and the kidney beans are tender. Garnish with chopped dill and some butter and serve hot!

    Salam ijan! waaaa…agaknyer kan kita BOLEH mkn kamben kalau ijan yg masak :D agaknyer bilalah leh mkn masakan ijan ya? nak2 menu KAMBEN iteww! yg dlm bekas biru tu baru kita nak tanyer apa dia tgk gaya cam salmon, betul rupanyer.. yg pun sama agaknyer kalau ijan yg masak kita leh makan :D aci tak? :D

  13. sedapnya nampak.. siap ada salmon n garlic bread lagi tu.. sejak kawin i tak penah lagi masak western ekeke…
    dok buat masakkan melayu jek… perut melayu maklum lah…
    tapi my mom kata ada simpan daging for me… pakai daging lembu pun boleh lah kot kan.. boleh i try nanti…

    Salam Ijan. Sedap ni mkn stew dgn roti. Kalau Along buat breakfast or lunch sedap ni…. kita pun berangan je bila tengok Ijan punya gambor tu….ngap…ngap….
