Last week, little young man requested for a cake.

Daddy kata, Orange Cake macam birthday hari tu best. Boleh buat yang tu tak? :)

Post pone punye post pone, finally jadi jugak lah kek ni. hehe

Mama buat mini cake aje, comel2 senang makan.

Penang Assam Laksa resipi Kak Ana Fp ni dah berkali kali kali kite buat.

So far, inilah resipi kegemaran kami. Chewahh.. hehe :D

Mekasih banyak2 buat Kak Ana… kite pakai tuna dlm tin je.

Balik kerja, gusti2 sikit dgn Mikael, siap masak2 dah gelap dah.

Sicilian Orange Cake Recipe

(Adapted from Rick Stein’s Mediterranean Escape)

Ingredients
250 g lightly salted butter, at room temperature, plus extra for greasing
250 g caster sugar
4 medium eggs
1 1/2 tsp finely grated orange zest
250 g self raising flour
85 ml freshly squeezed orange juice
For the icing:
125 g icing sugar

5 tsp freshly squeezed orange juice

  1. Preheat oven to 170C. Grease and line a 22-cm clip-sided round cake with non-stick baking paper.
  2. Using an electric whisk, cream the butter and sugar together for 4-5 minutes until very pale. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, beating very well between each one, if necessary adding a spoonful of flour with the last egg to prevent the mixture from curdling. Beat in the orange zest. Add the flour all at once and mix in well, then slowly mix in the orange juice.
  3. Spoon the mixture into the prepared tin and bake on the middle shelf of the oven for 45-50 minutes or until a skewer, inserted into the centre of the cake, comes out clean. If it starts to brown too quickly, cover loosely with a sheet of lightly buttered foil.
  4. Leave the cake, in its tin, to cool on a wire rack, then carefully remove the sides and base of the tin and peel off the paper. Put it onto a serving plate.
  5. For the icing, sift the icing sugar into a bowl and stir in the orange juice until you have a spreadable consistency. Spread it over the top of the cake, letting it drip down the sides, and leave to set. Serve cut into slices, and store any leftovers in an airtight container.

Resipi Penang Assam Laksa

1 kilo ikan kembong yg besar tu- rebus dgn air…ambik isi..tulang kisar hancur amik air dia. (kite guna tuna in oil)
1 tin ikan sardin cap Ayam’s Brand – buang sos dan cuci sikit bekas sos kat ikan tu…
20 biji cili kering – dikisar
5 biji cili merah- dikisar
5-6 ulas bawang kecil – dikisar
1 biji bawang besar
1 batang serai- dikisar
1 cm lengkuas – dikisar gak…
sedikit belacan yg good quality- ini akan memberi kesan dan rasa keatas kuah kita
1 batang bunga kantan – di belah dua utk dimasukkan ke dalam kuah ketika mendidih nanti…
beberapa hirisan nenas – pun dimasukkan kedalam kuah dan direbus bersama…
air asam jawa
daun pudina/kesum
garam dan perasa..

Laksa Basah (spaghetti pun best)
Timun, daun salad, bawang besar, cili merah, nenas yg dipotong kecik2, daun selom(kalo nak guna pun boleh…)cili padi, bunga kantan yg dihiris…lagi satu petis aka otak udang….dan daun pudina…

1. Rebus bahan kisar bersama kedua2 isi ikan yg diceraikan…masukkan sekali nenas potong, bunga kantan ..rasa masam manis akan datang dari nenas tu…kuah akan jadi harum…
2. Masukkan air secukupnya. Tambah air asam jawa.
3. Masukkan daun pudina ketika kuah tgh mendidih….
4. Perasakan dgn garam dan bahan perasa – jika suka la…
5. Siap untuk dimakan dah….lebih elok kalo kuah dibuat sehari awal…sbb makin lama makin sedap kuah ni…
6. Bubuh ulam-ulaman dan petis…hmmm yummy.

      Aku buat juga bila teringin. Cuma bahan2 terhad la kat sini. kena kira berapa helai nak letak daun kesum, kerat 2 bunga kantan, gitu gitu lah. hahaha….
