Several months ago we made a big decision to switch Mikael’s growing up milk to Anmum Essential. I became really excited about it and I hope sharing my experiences here may bring valuable information for others too.

To be able to see any differences in his development, we put much closer attention to his everyday progress. Mikael is a very active and energetic boy, he loves exploring different toys, games and books. One of his favorites is spending time with Mama’s tablet. We downloaded a few apps for children such as puzzles, drawings and story books.

Internet would be my best friend for digging out information about children’s development. I always refer to several, but I’d like to share one here:

http://www.child-development-guide.com/index.html

It is of course a long list of what a child at certain age should do/be and everybody knows that development of each and every child may differ. But as a basis and guideline, I do think that the information they provide is of great value.

Believe me, it is really worth reading :)

As we are now in Finland (but returning back to Malaysia soon), Mikael is learning Finnish language at school and Malay and English at home. Like everybody else, he requires essential advanced nutrition for his growth and learning processes. Anmum Essential has everything that he needs, including Gangliosides and DHA which are important components for child’s brain development. Most crucially, Anmum Essential does not contain any unnecessary added sugars.

From testimonials that I read in Mum Knows Best discussion group, I do believe that my heart did say it right when I decided to change to Anmum Essential. Some of the mums discovered their children to develop better skills in learning, relating things that they see and hear, and interacting with family and friends. As a mother, I understand the happiness and satisfaction shared by the mums. No doubt, I would love to experience similar excitement during Mikael’s development.

From our observation, he is now learning much faster and becoming more creative in what he does. His vocabulary develops each day so do the pronunciations. He tries very hard to say things in proper sounds and mimicking what we are teaching. I am hoping that he would be able to speak more fluently very soon. Especially before he will be meeting his Maktok, Tokwan, uncles, aunties and everybody back home :D

I do believe that with right nutritional sources as well as stimulation, we are able to maximize our children’s learning and memorizing ability. Children’s brain cells are developing thousands of connections everyday through learning processes. It is all up to us to bring the best out of it.

I am definitely very happy with Anmum Essential so far and I would like to recommend that Anmum Essential would be a great choice for every child’s growth. We shouldn’t compromise for what is best for them kan ;)

I am more than happy to continue using Anmum Essential as Mikael’s growing up milk.

Nothing much happened last weekend. I was sick and everyone ended up staying at home watching movies :D

I managed to make those chicken balls with cornflakes for Mikael before I gave up my kitchen to Faiz for the rest of the weekend ;)

To keep the little one cheerful, we sang, we read ABCs, 123 and played his favorite LEGOs and football.

We bought his first World Map several weeks ago, which finally came in beautiful colors and cartoon figures.

After some time, he could pointed out Malaysia on the map everytime I asked “Where is Maktok and Tokwe’s house?”

Plane… tahan“… he showed Finland while his mouth roared for aircraft noises.

Nak balik Malaysia naik plane ya sayang :)

Many thanks to Kak LG for her brilliant chicken cornflakes recipe. I often baked chicken drumstick or wings, and everybody liked it very much!

This time, with some modification I used chicken breast and shaped them into small balls ;)

Chicken Cornflakes Balls Recipe

  • 2 chicken breast, ground
  • 1-2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 egg, lightly beaten
  • salt to taste
  • some of black pepper
  • some white pepper
  • 2 cups cornflakes, ground
  1. Place everything (except the cornflakes) in a medium size bowl and mix well.
  2. Scoop about 1 tsp size of the chicken mixture and make a ball with your hand. Drop it in the a bowl with ground cornflakes. Coat well.
  3. Repeat for the rest of the chicken mixture.
  4. Arrange them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  5. Baked at 200 C for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Serve with ketchup or chilli sauce.

Hari ni saya buatkan lauk kegemaran Faiz, ayam masak madu dengan kurma dan nenas.

Resipinya saya dapat dari Maktok Mikael quite some time ago.

Bila letak kurma dan nenas, dapat rasa kesedapan masam dan manis dari buah-buahan tu dan juga madu. Berbanyak terima kasih pada Maktok yang berkongsi resipi. Berselera kami makan hari ni :)

Saya masak nasi putih saja. Tapi kalau buat nasi tomato atau beriani pun boleh juga.

Saya gunakan cili merah saja jadi tak pedas.

Jika kawan-kawan suka pedas, boleh juga tambah cili kering :)
